Ogier: Sébastien Loeb will be hard to beat

Sébastien Ogier learned at the same time as the officialization of Sébastien's contract extension Loeb that he would keep the same teammate for the next two seasons. The Frenchman accepts the news by removing the positive for the manufacturer in the rafters but he now knows that the title will be much more difficult to obtain.

“This is good news for the team because he is an excellent driver,” underlines Sébastien Ogier on Autosport. “But it?s also good news for me because we have a good relationship with him and Daniel (Elena). It is certain that it will be difficult to still have him as a teammate because he will also be an opponent. Like today, he will be very difficult to beat. »

Sébastien Ogier knows that he still has to improve to better compete with the seven-time world champion. “I will try to improve further,” adds Sébastien Ogier. “He is the strongest, you have to reach his limits and be perfect to beat him. I would be much happier with a title if I manage to beat him rather than if he leaves the discipline. However, my priority remains the Championship and I am not obsessed with it. I am young and I have many years ahead of me. »
