Oliver Solberg at the start of the Arctic Rally

Confirmé comme pilote Hyundai pour les deux prochaines campagnes de WRC2, Oliver Solberg poursuit sa préparation en vue de la saison 2021. Récemment, il a pu essayer la i20 R5 qu’il utilisera en première partie d’année.

« The Hyundai i20 R5 was very nice this week. It's always good to try a new car, admitted Petter’s son. I'm happy with the i20. The engine looks solid and we had some good tests. Obviously, I need to spend more time behind the wheel of the car to get to know it better and feel good about it. ».

This extra time, Oliver Solberg will have it very soon. Indeed, the Swede will participate in the next Arctic Rally in Lapland (Finland) from January 15 to 16. “ I am aware that there will be several very fast drivers and I know that experience matters a lot when you drive in Finland. For me, this will be my first outing with the Hyundai i20 R5 and my first participation in this rally so I'm just going to focus on myself. I need to gain experience and understand the car a little more ».

Seven stages are on the program for this 2021 Arctic Rally in which will also take part Valtteri Bottas. The pilots will cover a total of 216 kilometers.
