Olivier Quesnel congratulates his troops

Sébastien Loeb, winner of Rally from Jordan, benefited from the team strategy put in place by Citroën Racing throughout the weekend. While he opened the route for the specials of the first day (Thursday), the six-time World Champion was able to count on Friday and Saturday on Sébastien Ogier, who placed himself in front of his elder to sweep the Jordanian roads for him. Regularly on Friday, since he was ahead of Loeb in the general classification, and more artificially on Saturday, by placing himself in the lead even though it was the Alsatian who was supposed to start at the front.

« We asked Sébastien Ogier to clock in early, explains Olivier Quesnel, director of Citroën Racing. We encountered a technical problem with his car in the service park, which ended his podium hopes. We thought that this strategy would give Sébastien Loeb more chances to defend his first position. »

« It’s a great victory, continues Quesnel. The pilots did a very good job. The strategy was good and Séb rode very well. It's really good for us to know that we can now count on three drivers, Sébastien Loeb, Sébastien Ogier and Dani Sordo. It's good for the championship, it could be our year. »
