Modified departure order, limited public in Estonia

La resumption of WRC in September (4-6) in Estonia will be accompanied by a change that should please Sébastien Ogier. Given the reduced duration of the event compressed over the weekend (SS1 on Friday evening), the competitors will start in the order of the general classification during the second loop on Saturday.

There's no guarantee this will help the championship leader challenge for victory, but he might have a better chance of not making the track for two days. Aware also that their event could suffer from its popularity, the organizers decided to limit the sale of tickets to follow the rally.

20 are planned, including 000 (at 16 euros at the end of July) for the public who will not be able to see more than 000 specials. Between the price of accommodation which has exploded miserably and this constraint, it will not be easy for spectators to attend this new WRC round. With the pandemic continuing, this last measure is undoubtedly beneficial, even if it will be very difficult (impossible?) to enforce it...
