Ott Tänak wins shakedown in Germany

Winner on this course in 2017, on the Ford Fiesta WRC of the Team M-Sport, Ott Tänak intends to defend its success acquired twelve months ago in Germany, but this time on behalf of Toyota Gazoo Racing.

On the 5,52 km route of St. Wendeler Land, Tänak set a benchmark time of 2’52″9 on his third pass and precedes his teammate Jari-Matti Latvala by two tenths.

Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport Ford), long at the top of the standings, finished third, six tenths ahead of its championship rival Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) and Dani Sordo (Hyundai). Craig Breen lifts the first Citroën C3 WRC to sixth place at 1″4, the same time as Elfyn Evans (M-Sport Ford).

Followed by Esapekka Lappi (Toyota), Mads Ostberg (Citroën), author of a spin on his first pass, Teemu Suninen (M-Sport Ford) and Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai). For his return to the World Cup, Eric Camilli is temporarily the best of the competitors in WRC 2.
