It’s definitely time! One week after the divorce between Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena, which we analyze in issue 2304 of AUTOhebdo (on sale on our online store and on newsstands), it is Gus Greensmith’s turn to part ways with his usual co-pilot.
The pilot M-Sport Ford en Championnat du monde des rallyes (WRC) will continue his 2021 season with Chris Patterson, in place of Eliott Edmondson. “Elliott and I have been competing together for a number of years now and have had some great results in that time, declared the Briton on his social networks. I want to thank Elliott for his contributions and the memories we have created as a team and friends. »

Together, the Greensmith-Edmondson duo competed in a round of the European Rally Championship (ERC) and the WRC in Ford Fiesta R2 in 2015, then especially the WRC2 in 2019 (3rd, two victories) and the WRC a year later (11th).
As for Chris Patterson, he returns to the M-Sport house after accompanying Petter Solberg's passage in 2012 in a Ford Fiesta. At 52, the Englishman will be one of the most experienced co-drivers in the competition, having dedicated his time to Qatari Khalid Al Qassimi at Citroën.
