Petter Solberg to Ford

Left without a steering wheel by Subaru when the team withdrew at the end of 2008, Petter Solberg managed to set up his own structure to show (if it was still necessary) his qualities within the field. WRC. Driving a Citroën Xsara WRC then a Citroën C4 WRC at the end of the season, the 2003 World Champion proved that he still had to be counted on.

Malcolm Wilson understood this well and offered the Norwegian a golden bridge for what should be the WRC transfer of the year. Indeed, by securing the services of Petter Solberg, the boss of the team entering the Ford Focus RS WRC is depriving his direct competitor? Citroën? of a contender for victory, or even the world title.

Petter Solberg would benefit from a latest generation Ford Focus RS WRC like Mikko Hirvonen and Jari-Matti Latvala, the brand's two official drivers on the oval. Will it be the Norwegian?s return to Ford, nine years after leaving the team that gave him his chance in the World Championship?
