Petter Solberg wants to impress

By his character, the Rally of Portugal promises to be more difficult than the recent Cyprus Rally for Petter Solberg. His Citroën Xsara WRC, in 2006 configuration, will undoubtedly struggle to compete with the latest developments of the Citroën C4 WRC and Ford Focus RS WRC presented at this event.

However, thanks to the work done by his own team on the Xsara's shock absorbers, the Norwegian believes he can still do well: “This event promises to be difficult but it will be interesting to see if we can be as fast on this terrain . We were in Cyprus and with a little more experience behind the wheel of this car, I hope to be able to set good times. »

Present in only two of the three events already contested, Petter Solberg occupies fifth place in the provisional standings of the FIA World Rally Championship with nine points.
