Pierre Ragues of the party in Croatia

Like most of the drivers who will be entered at the start of the Rally from Croatia (April 22-25), third event of the WRC 2021, Pierre ragues will discover the roads of the Balkans for the first real asphalt round of the season.

After two consecutive engagements with theAlpine A110 R-GT at Monza at the end of 2020, then at the Monte-Carlo Rally last January, the Normandy will find its Volkswagen Polo GTI R5, with whom he notably won the Rallye de St-Germain la Campagne in August 2020.

“The Croatia Rally promises to be a very interesting addition to my initial program for 2021,” comments Ragues. I experienced a captivating Monte-Carlo in January, at the opening of the World Championship.

Moving from one car to another nourishes my experience. This Croatia Rally will be a novelty for all competitors, drivers and teams, since the WRC has never been there before. It will be very different from Monte Carlo in that the entire course will be on asphalt, and I can't wait to experience that.

For Julien and me, this weekend will be fundamental, outside of our R-GT World Cup calendar with theAlpine. I am full of enthusiasm as this event approaches and deeply happy to seize this fantastic opportunity to compete in as many races as possible at international level, in addition to my World Cup program. »

Pierre Ragues will once again be co-driven by Julien Pesenti, and will undoubtedly face serious competition in the Rally2/R5 car category.
