More than 90 cars at Monte-Carlo 2021

There will be no shortage of entertainers on the occasion of the Rally Monte-Carlo 2021. Despite a significantly reduced route due to the risk of curfew, the event scheduled for January 21 to 24 will be full with more than 90 cars.

The usual stables which are Toyota, Hyundai et M-Sport Ford will fill the class WRC, in addition to the first departure of Pierre-Louis Loubet in the premier category in this event.

WRC2 will be one to watch closely. While waiting for the publication of the complete entry list, scheduled for January 11, we can already ensure the presence of several squadrons with the R5s.

To start, Andreas Mikkelsen will return to a Skoda Fabia, as was already the case in 2017 (victory). Coming from WRC3, Marco Bulacia moves up a rank with another Skoda.

Two Citroën C3 R5s will be allocated to the returning tricolor Eric Camilli as well as Sean Johnston. Hyundai will trust debutant Oliver Solberg, the son of 2003 world champion Petter Solberg having been hired as a Junior driver this winter. He replaces the Russian Nikolay Gryazin who will drive a Volkswagen Polo GTI.

Nine cars are announced in WRC3, including former Hyundai driver Kevin Abbring in a VW Polo. French Nicholas Ciamin will be in a Citroën C3 while the Belgian Cédric Cherain will benefit from a Skoda Fabia.
