Several injuries for Lefebvre and Moreau

Stéphane Lefebvre and Gabin Moreau suffered a violent accident during the second stage of the Rally of Germany contested this Saturday August 20 in the first passage of the Panzerplatte special.

The exit of the Citroën driver at the 12th kilometer of the course forced the organizers to interrupt the special to allow emergency services to intervene and evacuate the injured crew.

Stéphane Lefebvre was hit in the pelvis and suffered slight trauma to the lung which required the installation of a drain.

His co-driver Gabin Moreau suffered fractures to his left foot and hand, and his right tibia. He also suffers from a displaced collarbone and a cracked vertebra.

“Thank you all for your messages, it really warms the heart and helps you want to come back even stronger, commented Gabin Moreau on his Facebook account. For my part, I won't be able to walk right away... Despite everything, I don't lose my morale. »

“The shock was very violent as were the minutes that followed. It was endless, continued the co-pilot. It was simply impossible for me to get out of the car... The organizers and rescue teams did a fantastic job and took good care of us. »
