Pontus Tidemand confirmed for Wales Rally GB at M-Sport

After Rally Monte-Carlo and the Rally of Sweden, and after a first outing on gravel planned for the Rally of Turkey in a week, Pontus Tidemand secured a fourth participation in WRC this season, with the Wales Rally GB in sight at the beginning of October.

Tidemand, who will replace Elfyn Evans in Turkey as the Welshman continues his recovery from his violent landing at Rally Estonia earlier in the summer, will compete on une troisième Ford Fiesta WRC du Team M-Sport Ford, alongside Evans, expected to return to the wheel at home, and Teemu Suninen.

“It gives such a boost to know that I have another rally coming up, especially shortly after Turkey,” said the Swede. It's important to have a bigger program and I really want to show my progress.

“Pontus is part of the next generation and I think all the manufacturers will be looking forward to seeing how he progresses over these next two rallies,” said Richard Millener, Team Principal of Team M-Sport Ford.
