Pontus Tidemand will return to the Ford Fiesta WRC in Türkiye

After the asphalt and snow of Rally Monte-Carlo, and the snow-ice combo of the Swedish Rally, Pontus Tidemand will have the opportunity to demonstrate his qualities on Turkish soil (September 12-15), still within the Team M-Sport.

The Swede had somewhat disappeared from the radar since the winter round, leaving Gus Greensmith to take over at M-Sport to replace Elfyn Evans in Finland at the beginning of the month (and next week in Germany).

Tidemand will be able to put forward his experience on the ground, having competed in the Rally of Turkey last year in a Skoda Fabia R5 (retirement).

“I am very happy to come back to WRC and at M-Sport, admits Tidemand. I've been waiting for this since Rally Sweden in February. I am fully focused on preparing as thoroughly as possible because I know from last year that Turkey is a really difficult rally, but I am ready for the challenge.

I hope to make good progress during the rally and be able to be more competitive now that I have some experience under my belt. »

As confirmed by the entry list for the Turkish event, Pontus Tidemand will be lined up in a third car in addition to Teemu Suninen and the expected return of Evans.

A confirmation which possibly reduces the chances of seeing Hayden Paddon on this Turkish round. The New Zealand pilot recently clarified that he was working to get back into a Ford Fiesta WRC as quickly as possible – M-Sport, no matter the rally.
