Portugal: Citroën in good shape

The second day of rally of Portugal, third round of the season WRC, consisted of two loops of three stages. Nearly 150 kilometers of timed course which clarified the situation at the head of the event. Leader at the start this morning, Jari-Matti Latvala, due to his position as opener, ceded his leadership to Sébastien Ogier in the final special of the morning (SS10). In the afternoon, the Finn lost any chance of victory in SS12, suffering a broken driveshaft.

The young Frenchman from Citroën Racing has a lead of 37??6 over his teammate and compatriot Sébastien on the evening of this second stage. Loeb. The latter made the most of the first special (SS8), but lost all the benefit of his comeback in Vascao 1 (SS9), hampered by dust from Mikko Hirvonen, who had stopped to change a wheel at the following a puncture, losing 1?58?? in his misadventure. Thanks to Latvala's troubles, the seven-time world champion now stands as the only barrier to Ogier.
