Should we see this as a sign for the 2024 season? For the first time, Hyundai will call on Teemu Suninen for a rally on asphalt in WRC. The Finn was preferred to Dani Sordo for the brand new Central European Rally, which crosses Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria, from October 26 to 29.

This is the fourth time in the 2023 season that Teemu Suninen has been called up by Hyundai to drive the third Korean car. Already present in Estonia (5th) and in Finland (4th), at the start of the next Rally of Chile, the Finn has proven himself in the gravel events with 25 points scored.

The team led by Cyril Abiteboul will therefore be able to test its driver on an asphalt rally. Hyundai has still not formalized the names of its drivers in 2024 nor the number of cars that will be entered next year. Teemu Suninen is naturally the favorite for a seat on the team.
