First photos of the Citroën C3 2017

Chris Meeke was requisitioned by Citroën Racing yesterday at Chateau Lastours (Aude). On the program for the British driver, taking the wheel, for the very first time, during a gravel test session, of the Citroën C3 WRC, replacement for the DS3 WRC, which will be entered in the World Rally Championship from 2017.

The Reds' number 1 driver should probably still be at work today, or even tomorrow, with the session ending, it seems, on Saturday evening. For this first work session, the new car from the men of Satory displays the “Test 1” inscription clearly on the rear windows as well as on the front bumper grille. But her features are hidden under a camouflage dress which nevertheless suggests its five-door body, and its prominent aerodynamic appendages, typical of the 2017 WRC regulations.

Development is expected to intensify and continue on all surfaces in the coming months. A development placed under the leadership of Alexis Avril, project manager, who now reports to Laurent Fregosi, promoted to technical director, replacing Xavier Mestelan-Pinon, new director of DS Performance.
