Busy 2016 program for Julien Maurin

Julien Maurin will not be bored in 2016. The double French Rally champion will compete in the WRC2 season with six events on the program after his commitment to the Rally Monte Carlo. The Savoyard will be present in Portugal, Sardinia, Poland, Germany, the Tour of Corsica and Catalonia. The French driver will also be on the five rounds of the French Terrestrial Rally Championship. All his engagements will be on his Skoda Fabia R5.

“After the performances displayed in WRC2, and in particular the victory at the Tour de Corse in this category, continuing in the world championship was one of the priorities for me”, commented Julien Maurin. “Monte-Carlo did not smile on us but we were competitive and this confirmed, if necessary, that we had the potential to play up front. This will clearly be our objective in the remaining rounds. We know that we no longer have a wild card, but we also know that we have everything we need to do well. »

With the help of 2C Compétition, Julien Maurin will get back behind the wheel of his Fabia R5 on April 2 and 3 at the Rallye Terre des Causses which will open the season of the French Terre des Rally Championship (Midi-Pyrénées) before continuing with the Rally of Portugal contested from May 19 to 22.
