Quentin Gilbert extends WRC 2

After a first departure at Rally Monte-Carlo, Quentin Gilbert confirmed that he will be at the start of 6 rallies in the category WRC 2 where he will be entered at the wheel of a Skoda Fabia R5 prepared by Tagai Rally Technology.

Still co-driven by Renaud Jamoul, he will be at the start of several gravel rounds with Portugal (May 18-21), Poland (June 29-July 2) and Finland (July 27-30). Its global program will be completed by the Rally Germany (August 17-20), the Catalonia Rally (October 5-8) and the Wales Rally GB (October 26-29).

“I am very happy to see the program for this 2017 season taking shape, explained Quentin Gilbert. After a mixed season last year, I really wanted to return to WRC 2 with rising ambitions. The Skoda Fabia R5 is a car that has proven its competitiveness and I hope to achieve very good performances behind the wheel of it. »

The French Championship in addition

Quentin Gilbert will prepare for his season by being at the start of the Rallye Terre des Causses (April 1 and 2) as well as several other national events.

“The winter was long, added Quentin Gilbert, even if I was able to compete in the Monte-Carlo Rally. I continued to prepare myself physically to be ready when I got back behind the wheel. I would also like to associate Renaud, who helps me enormously so that we can live our dream. This season, the objective will clearly be to fight at the top level of WRC 2.”

Quentin Gilbert finished 6th in WRC 2 last year when he was driving a DS 3 R5.
