Olivier Quesnel and all of Citroën Racing felt that the time had come to Thierry Neuville to prove himself at the highest level of rally. The Belgian will drive a DS3 WRC of the Citroën Junior Team in at least nine events of the 2012 Championship and will be able to enter the Rallye de France-Alsace and in Spain if its results meet the expectations of the manufacturer.
“Citroën Racing has closely followed the career of Thierry Neuville for several years”, recognizes the director of Citroën Racing. “We felt the time was right to give him a chance at the highest level. Like Sebastian Loeb or more recently Sébastien Ogier, Thierry will find himself in a team that will help him complete his training and consolidate his results. It’s up to Thierry and Nicolas (Gilsoul, his co-driver) to play. »
