Kimi Räikkönen, the driver whose future is the most talked about in the media, has been harboring doubts for several months. Pursuit in WRC ? With Citroën and Red Bull ? If the option seems possible again for a few weeks, nothing has yet been made official and the Finn sees time slipping away, when the start of the football season rally approach.
One thing is certain, Iceman will not hang up the wheel, despite the recent death of his dad. “Of course, the death of his father is something sad, that’s normal. But the rumors (concerning his end of career) are pure speculation,” his agent, Steve Robertson, told MTV3.
Currently, the most serious avenue for Kimi would be a pursuit of the WRC in a Citroën but Steve Robertson does not wish to speculate as he did last off-season with a possible arrival at Mercedes GP. “Kimi is World Champion of Formula 1 so he has a lot of suggestions. But, at the moment, we can’t say anything,” says Robertson.
However, an agreement could soon be reached to allow the Finn to launch his season. “It’s January, it won’t take much longer,” adds Robertson.
