Kimi Räikkönen, after a season in the World Rally Championship, raised all the questions at the end of the year. The Finn, World Champion of Formula 1 in 2007, was not sure of extending the adventure into WRC due to the hesitation of Red Bull, which paid for Iceman?s 2010 season within the Citroën Junior Team.
But negotiations continued and Red Bull could renew its support for Kimi Raïkkönen. With a consolidated budget, Iceman could extend its collaboration with the second Citroën team next season in the WRC. “We expect Kimi to be there next year,” a source close to the matter revealed to Autosport. He's talked to a few other people but it's still getting there. The agreement, as we have said, is done. »
Since the end of the season, the Finn had mainly been announced as close to Ford. Kimi Räikkönen was in fact expected to take the wheel of a Monster team car, alongside Ken Block. But Iceman should remain faithful to the most famous energy drink.
