Räikkönen wants to compete in Rally Finland

Kimi Räikkönen had a lot of pressure coming back in F1 with Lotus. enstone placed a lot of hope in the Finn who had abandoned the world of car for that of rally. If the 2007 world champion sought to improve his performance for a long time, he kept going off the track and finally preferred to stop. However, he had announced that he hoped to return to rallying and confirmed it again by saying that he intended to compete in the Rally Finland.

For this, the Finn would have to have the approval of his team which has very bad memories with Robert Kubica's accident at the start of 2011. However, Kimi Räikkönen, who took ninth place in his event national last year, would like to improve his performance. “I would like to do Rally Finland this season because the dates match with my calendar but I will need to have permission from the team to do so”, admits the Lotus driver. “I knew rallying was a difficult discipline because I had done it before but it's still a different thing at the highest level. I knew it wouldn't be easy and of course I wanted to be better. But I'm not done with that, I want to come back to it, during or after my career. F1 and rallying are two completely different disciplines. Everything is different in rallying. You can have the notes, you're never sure what you'll find around the next corner. »
