Between Oliver Solberg and Kenya, the story did not start off on the right foot. On the mat during the shakedown this Wednesday after hitting a rock, Petter's son had an eventful first part of the day this Friday.
After a few shocks in SS2, the first of the day, including one at 19G, Oliver Solberg, who replaces Pierre-Louis Loubet at 2C Competition in Kenya, had to stop during the liaison to try to repair his i20.
The following two stages were identical for the young Swede who even interrupted his SS4 to try to help his suffering i20.
Unfortunately, the excessive damage, particularly to the chassis, forced Oliver Solberg to put an end to his Rally from Kenya. The return to the premier category is much more complicated than expected.
Sadly we couldn't completely fix the issue from SS2 before SS3 or SS4 as we were right on the limit in terms of maximum time allowed we stopped again during SS4 to try and fix it, but the chassis is too damaged and we can do no more so we have to retire from the rally… pic.twitter.com/6F32ccJaXP
