Winning return for Ogier in Poland?

Si Sébastien Ogier manages to increase his lead in the Championship, the Volkswagen driver is struggling to win since his last victory dates back to Rally of Sweden played last February.

The three-time world champion, who has remained at the top of the Drivers' standings since March 2014 and who will open the road for the 29th time in a row, can count on the Rally Poland held from June 30 to July 3 to return to success. The Frenchman remains on two consecutive victories in this event where the sweep proves less penalizing than in the last rallies contested.

“The Polish Rally is an event that I look forward to every year, admits Sébastien Ogier who has a 64-point lead in the Championship. It is a high speed rally which is comparable to Finland. Fast routes suit me very well. I only have good memories of Poland since my victories over the last two years. The surface is totally different compared to Rally Sardinia and it won't be as hard on our car. »

“Things are looking good in the Championship for Julien (Ingrassia, the co-driver) and me. Even though our last victory was four events ago, we have constantly increased our lead, which gives me confidence going into Poland. I am also strengthened by my private life, I never imagined being so happy being a father”, added the French pilot.
