Robert Kubica wants to finish in Sweden

After its start rally sparkling in Monte-Carlo, Robert Kubica was forced to retire after going off the road. For the second lifting of WRC this weekend in Sweden, the Pole wants above all to finish. “My approach to this rally is going to be the same as the Monte-Carlo Rally, but this time I want to finish, which will be a good result in itself. This is my first rally race entirely on snow at least in theory, as we know the conditions are fickle this year. This is the first time I'm going to ride with such studded tires. This means that I will be in a learning phase. » explains the former pilot of F1 during the press conference organized today in Sweden.

“The stages are very fast, and in some places, very narrow. We know we need to prepare for all kinds of surfaces – ice, gravel, snow, slush. Just like Jari-Matti [Latvala, also present at the conference] recalled, when conditions are changing, the pilot must “read” the road, and it is very difficult to do this if you do not have experience. Getting to the end of the rally and learning as much as possible during this weekend is our priority. This is the only “snow” rally in the calendar and I need to take advantage of this opportunity to learn in case I come back here next year. »

Kubica will face the world champion in a few minutes Sébastien Ogier during the Super-Special which constitutes SS1 of this 2014 Swedish rally.
