For his return to the wheel of his Citroën C3 Rally2 in the WRC3 world rally championship, Yohan Rossel did not take half measures. On Belgian asphalt, a surface that he masters since he was national champion in 2019, the Gardois distinguished himself as the fastest man in his category. Then helped by the technical and mechanical problems of the drivers entered in WRC2, the Frenchman managed to take a good 7th place overall.
« I feel like I'm on top of the world, he admitted with a smile after the Shakedown this Sunday. I would like to thank the team and Alex (Coria) my co-pilot. It was a fantastic weekend for me but also in view of the championship.
With another victory, @Rosselyohan took a major step towards securing the 2021 # WRC3 crown

With the technical problem of the Shakedown and this on the day of departure, I can only thank Team Saintéloc Racing and Didier Clément from Citroën Racing for finding the solution in record time. It’s a victory for a whole team. Even if it was never easy, with Alex Coria we were able to maintain a regular top speed without making mistakes. We are proud of this major result with a view to the WRC3 title ».
Thanks to this success in WRC3 at Rally from Ypres, his third of the season, Yohan Rossel widens the gap a little further at the head of the category. With 127 points, the Habs are now 45 points ahead of their closest pursuer, the Pole Kajetan Kajetanowicz.
