Rovanperä edges Tänak at Shakedown in Estonia

Avec trois passages à son compteur, Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) a pris les devants dans le Shakedown du Rally from Estonia. The 20-year-old driver set the best time during his final time this morning.

Avec un temps de 2’51“1, le Finlandais a pris le dessus sur le local de l’épreuve et seul représentant Hyundai dans le Top 5, Ott Tänak. The 2019 champion actually ranked 2nd, half a second behind Kalle Rovanperä.

The other three places in the Top 5 were taken by the Toyota drivers with Takamoto Katsuta (+0“6) on the 3rd step of the podium followed by Elfyn Evans (+1“1) and Sébastien Ogier (+2“).

Freelancer for Hyundai in Estonia in place of Dani Sordo, the Irishman Craig Breen finished 7th in Kalle Rovanperä’s Shakedown 2“6. Back in the premier category after his absence in Kenya, Frenchman Pierre-Louis Loubet (2C Compétition) clocked the 10th time, 6 seconds from the lead.

Rally Estonia 2021 starts this Thursday with the Tartu super special at 19:38 p.m.
