Rovanperä close to victory in Greece

Status quo at the top of the rally of Greece, Kalle Rovanperä is still the undisputed leader of the general. 35 seconds ahead of Ott Tänak (Hyundai), le Finlandais n’a plus qu’à gérer la Power Stage pour l’emporter. Le pilote Toyota a quand même poussé ce dimanche matin en signant le scratch lors de l’ES13. Il a ensuite été plus tranquille dans la 14e spéciale, permettant à son dauphin de lui reprendre plus de 9 secondes. Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) is still 3rd, more than a minute behind the leader. The Frenchman wants to get on the podium to secure big points in the championship.

On the French side, Pierre-Louis Loubet (2C Competition) abandoned the rally following problems with his i20 which he had been dragging around since Friday. Same concern for Adrien fourmaux sur sa Fiesta, heureusement, il a pu repartir mais avec 3 minutes de pénalité pour son retard lors de la 13e spéciale. Actuellement 6e du général, le pilote M-Sport est passé tout près du scratch de l’ES14 (+2”2 sur Tänak).

En WRC 2, Andreas Mikkelsen did the job. Leading 8 tenths ahead of his teammate Marco Bulacia this morning, the Norwegian took both scratches and is now 20”2 ahead of the Bolivian. Nikolay Gryazin is still 3rd but has lost more time, he is sailing at 4'33”7. 

In WRC 3, Yohan Rossel is only one stage away from victory. The Frenchman counts 40 seconds ahead of Kajetan Kajetanowicz and 57”6 over Chris Ingram. In all likelihood, the podium should be this one since the other competitors are more than 3 minutes behind. 

The Power Stage will take place from midday on part of the route taken by the 13th special.
