Safari Rally general classification Kenya 2024 after SS10:

  • This is the stage of all dangers. Saturday's day at Safari Rally Kenya 2024 is punctuated by a double passage in the formidable Sleeping Warrior special, 36 km alternating full throttle portions on muddy tracks, passages on hillsides and even zebra crossings.
  • The first contested passage this morning allowed Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) to make a nice comeback. The Belgian gained not one, but two places during the morning loop. The Francophone first took advantage of a puncture from Elfyn Evans (Toyota), who conceded 2 minutes, then another flat tire on the Toyota of Takamoto Katsuta (1 minute lost) to move up to 2nd place.

  • At the head of the Safari Rally Kenya, Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) continues his merry way. On a regular basis, the outgoing double world champion cannot be worried, but the increase in flat tires among his Toyota teammates casts doubt on the ability of the Yaris Rally1 hybrid to withstand the shocks of the savannah.
  • French Adrien fourmaux (M-Sport Ford) avoided the pitfalls to also overtake Evans. Adrien Fourmaux and Alexandre Coria are now at the foot of the podium, less than half a minute behind Katsuta.
  • Rookie Grégoire Munster (M-Sport Ford) decided to return to the service park for the rest of the day following a suspension problem.
  • In WRC2, Gus Greensmith (Skoda) remains on course despite suffering from the flu. The Briton is well ahead of the Swede Oliver Solberg (Skoda). Frenchman Nicolas Ciamin (Hyundai) spent more than 3 minutes in Sleeping Warrior due to a puncture.
  • The Saturday afternoon loop will begin at 12:34 p.m. and can be followed in live text on AUTOhebdo.fr.
