On the land where he won three times, Sébastien Loeb should make a comeback in WRC. While the list of entrants for the rally of the Acropolis has just been completed, the name of the Tricolore pair that he forms with Isabelle Galmiche would be well noted. After his last rally of the season in Kenya, the nine-time world champion cast doubt on his presence in Greece. But ultimately, the call of competition was too strong and Sébastien Loeb should put on his helmet to challenge the imperial leader in the championship, Kalle Rovanperä. The Finn has already scored 4 victories this season and will surely hope to prevent the driver M-Sport to regain victory.

With an à la carte season, Sébastien Loeb has so far only been crowned with success once in 4 appearances. It was in Monte-Carlo at the start of the year for the inaugural round of the calendar. Imperial, the Habs finished in front Sébastien Ogier. But since then, success has no longer been on his side. In Portugal, after a collision, the nine-time world champion was forced to retire in the 5th special, putting an end to his hopes of a double. On the Safari Rally, this time, it was an engine problem in SS4 that left him on the side of the road. So if he makes his return to Greece, the Habs will hope to have a trouble-free rally if they want to score their second victory of the season.

New remake between Sébastien Loeb and Sébastien Ogier?

Winner in 2005, 2008 and 2011, the French driver knows the Greek trails well and is able to dislodge Kalle Rovanperä, the last winner of the Acropolis Rally in 2021. But it is probably not only Finns who are French will have to be careful. When Sébastien Loeb makes his return to Rallying, another Sébastien is never far away. If Ogier has confirmed his presence in Japan (November 10-13), the Habs are still hesitating between New Zealand and Greece. But it's a safe bet that the temptation of a new battle between two French legends will tip the scales in favor of the Acropolis Rally.
