Sébastien Loeb testing the Ford Puma hybrid!

Sébastien Loeb completed a test session with the M-Sport team at the wheel of the Puma Hybrid. If it is still too early to say that this will lead to an appearance in the World Cup next year, the answer on its presence at Monte-Carlo 2022 should come soon.

Immediately after the rally from Catalonia, M-Sport had planned a session with the Puma Rally1 hybrid. Craig Breen had to perform his first laps on the asphalt with the car and Adrien fourmaux was also there. A third surprise driver also took the wheel of the Ford: Sébastien Loeb.

The Frenchman being under contract with Prodrive in particular for the Dakar, he does not have the right to make comments. " It's nice ", can he just answer when asked if he likes this new environment. This is not the first time that the Alsatian has driven the Puma, but his first kilometers were done in a very secretive manner. If there is a desire on both sides to collaborate, nothing has yet been decided.

Sébastien no longer wanted to do a complete program in WRC. Has he changed his mind? Would M-Sport be interested in giving him a Rally1 for a few rounds? If these questions still need to be debated, the English team can rely on the Frenchman's experience and his development skills to move forward more quickly in the development of his mount.

As for whether he will be at the start of the next Monte-Carlo (January 19-23), the nine-time world champion responds: " I do not know yet. This must be decided soon. » Contrary to the trend a few weeks ago, the door is not completely closed and therefore there is a chance to see him and Daniel Elena in a Ford when the 2022 season kicks off.
