Sébastien Loeb manages his race in Catalonia

Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) signed 2 scratches on the 3 stages covered this morning. The leader of Rally from Catalonia still has around thirty seconds ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford), who nevertheless tries to attack to put pressure on the Alsatian, the crews having only completed half the course.

Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) still cannot set a sufficient pace to hope to catch up with the leaders. The Flying Finn is now more than a minute and a half behind his rival for the title. It is a frustrated Mikko Hirvonen who confides at the end of the morning's course. “I try to attack as hard as possible but I don’t understand why I can’t keep up with them”, admits the Ford driver.

Dani Sordo (Mini) could even be able to chase the Finn off the podium, now that the star of the Spanish event is riding on his favorite surface. Sébastien Loeb's former teammate came within 47 seconds of the second Fiesta RS WRC and still has a step and a half to put Mikko Hirvonen under pressure.

The misfortunes continue for Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) who suffered another puncture dropping him to 6th place before he managed to regain the advantage over Kris Meeke (Mini). The Frenchman is more than a minute behind Dani Sordo and only 6 seconds ahead of the Briton. “I can no longer stay motivated”, admits the Citroën driver. “I just have to drive carefully. It’s a rally of me? In my opinion. »

The crews will leave at 14:48 p.m. to resume the special stages contested this morning. 71km timed courses remain on the program this afternoon.
