Sébastien Ogier confirmed by Toyota for New Zealand

Sébastien Ogier will compete in a third round of the World Rally Championship this season. After Monte-Carlo and Kenya, the Frenchman will be at the start of the rally of New Zealand, played from September 29 to October 2, as previously announced by AUTOhebdo. His presence was confirmed this Sunday by the Toyota Gazoo Racing.

If he will not compete in the 6 Hours of Fuji in WEC with Richard Mille Racing (Ogier will no longer compete in the world endurance championship this season), the Gapençais should return to Japan for a fourth rally appearance this year. “ I always said I wanted to run there, he recalled in Kenya, during the Safari Rally. I get great support from the team and we have a lot of fans there. The last two years the pandemic prevented us from doing it so I hope to achieve it this season. » 

This will be only the second New Zealand rally for the eight-time world champion in the discipline after 2010, where he took second place behind Jari-Matti Latvala. He will be accompanied by his co-driver Benjamin Veillas.
