At the start of this final round of the 2021 season, Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia had only one goal in mind: to get their 8e world crown to end their collaboration in style. The pair managed to completely hide everything that this ordeal represented in order to achieve their goal. THE rally of Monza will in fact mark the end of the career of the most decorated French co-driver in the history of the WRC.

It was also the last time that Sébastien Ogier played an entire championship since he should only return sporadically next year. Finally, this race offered the ultimate opportunity to see in action the 2017 WRCs which have so excited the discipline over the past five years.

In Croatia, victory was decided by only 6 tenths. The 3rd closest finish in history after Jordan in 2011 (0″2 between Ogier and Latvala) and New Zealand in 2007 (0″3 between Gronhölm and Loeb). ©Bastien Roux

The collaboration between Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia ended this Sunday, November 21 with an 8th world title and incredible numbers. In 169 WRC starts, the two men have been on the podium 91 times for 54 victories, a ratio of 32,14%. Together they won 632/633 stages and scored 2.537 points.
