Sébastien Ogier: “The truth is that I still love rallying”

Sébastien Ogier, you wanted to take a break this year. Has the course of 2022 so far met your expectations?

I am completely satisfied with my schedule. The pace and way this season developed suited me completely. In terms of results, it could have been better, but I can't blame myself for much. I believe that we performed well on each rally.

Is this an impression or has luck not been on your side this year?

Although we had done the job, we lost the victory at Monte-Carlo due to a puncture on Sunday. In Portugal, we perhaps didn't start super strong, it was a little sluggish, but we were still in the right car 5 seconds behind the leader when we had to abandon with two punctured wheels. Kenya didn't smile on us either since we were leaders when we punctured. In New Zealand, the weather hasn't really been on our side. We traveled in the rain and, throughout the first day, our position on the road was not very advantageous. The episode with the lost fin was not in our favor either
