Sébastien Ogier takes the lead in Spain

A Sébastien Ogier the best start Rally from Spain. The now three-time world champion was the fastest over the 3,2 km of the first special of the Catalan event, run in the streets of the Montjuic district in Barcelona.

Author of the scratch in 3'37″8, the Frenchman from Volkswagen Motorsport beat the Belgian Thierry Neuville (Hyundai), beaten by 2″1. Andreas Mikkelsen (Volkswagen) moved up to third, just under three seconds behind.

The first DS3 WRC of Kris Meeke ranks fourth at 3″3 and precedes the Ford Fiesta of Robert Kubica, who complained of a lack of power in the first meters of the timed sector. Mads Ostberg (DS3 WRC) is sixth ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala (Volkswagen) who loses more than five seconds in three kilometers.

The Hyundais of Hayden Paddon and Nasser Al-Attiyah's Skoda Fabia R5, first in WRC-2 and who will debut in the WTCC at home next month, complete for the moment the top 10 of this shakedown still in progress.

The first ES of the first real stage will start tomorrow morning at 10:08 a.m., and will be followed, like the entire Rally of Spain, live on AUTOhebdo.fr.
