Sébastien Ogier close to success in Türkiye

Before the Power Stage Rally from Turkey, Sébastien Ogier (Citroen) seems to have done the hard part. The Frenchman took a lead of 19″9 over his teammate Esapekka Lappi, author of a small error in SS6 which cost him a little less than 15″.

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) and Pontus Tidemand (M-Sport Ford) maintain their positions, while Ott Tänak (Toyota) returned to the rally this morning, navigating like a senator through SS15 and SS16 to save its tires for the Power Stage and bonus points.

En WRC 2 Pro, the situation seemed frozen, but Gus Greensmith (Ford Fiesta R5) made a mistake after crossing the finish line of SS16, the Fiesta R5 rolling over. Greensmith and co-driver Elliot Edmondson are fine, but the M-Sport crew has arguably just lost the rally, with the car largely damaged.

A mishap which should benefit Jan Kopecky (Skoda Fabia R5 Evo). Out of contention for victory in the category, Kalle Rovanperä stood out with his Skoda Fabia R5 Evo by setting the 6th fastest time.

The Rally Turkey Power Stage will start at 12:18 p.m. and can be followed live on our website via our live-text.
