Solberg not worried about Sweden

Petter Solberg made a good start to the season with the Ford Fiesta RS WRC since he took third place on the podium in the Rally Monte-Carlo behind Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) and Dani Sordo (Mini). The Norwegian is now preparing to compete in his first event on snow with the Fiesta RS WRC at the Swedish Rally (February 9 to 12). If the 2003 world champion was only able to complete two days of testing to perfect his driving, his performance on this type of surface (winner of the event with Subaru in 2005) and the domination of Ford in Sweden (victory during of the last five editions) make him optimistic to achieve a solid result.

“This will be my first rally on snow with a Fiesta RS WRC”, recalls Petter Solberg. “I only had two days of testing to get used to it but I'm not worried that much. I expected to have difficulty making the adjustments on the asphalt but I immediately felt at ease at the Monte-Carlo Rally. Ford has an impressive series of successes on this rally (in Sweden) and I intend to continue it. »
