Solberg visits Ford

Although he does not yet know what his future will hold, Petter Solberg continues to tour the manufacturers of the World Rally Championship. The Norwegian, who is driving a Citroën Xsara in 2006 configuration this season, visited the Ford team base. “ It is a very impressive place “, Solberg told Autosport.

« I spoke a lot with Malcolm Wilson (the team director, editor’s note), more than we did before. It was very nice to be back », continued the driver who was part of the team just before joining Subaru in 2000.

For the end of the season, Petter Solberg still does not know in which car he will compete in the Catalan and British rallies. If he has decided to skip Australia, he could however play a role in one or the other of the two official teams with a view to the constructors' title. On the other hand, for next season, he has ruled out leaving with a less efficient car than this year's to compete in the World Championship.
