Sordo: “Winning my first rally”

Dani Sordo, Junior world champion (J-WRC) in 2005, will again be Sébastien?s teammate Loeb for the World Rally Championship season. Consistent and fast, the Spaniard has often been well placed but has never yet won a WRC round. Dani Sordo hopes to quickly correct this statistic. “ I really want to win my first rally in WRC this year, confirms the Citroën driver. Whether on one of the asphalt rallies or on the gravel rounds that I particularly like, like Mexico, New Zealand or Portugal, I know that I can do it. »

Before starting the season in Sweden (February 11-14), the Spanish driver was able to perfect his skills on the snow by competing in the Arctic Rally, just like Kimi Räikkönen. “ This was a great way to increase my confidence on this surface., comments Sordo, winner of the event. Even without real competition, there's nothing like competition to find the right rhythm and sensations! Unlike a test session, where we use the same base to the point of knowing it by heart, this rally forced me to question myself at each special, to analyze the behavior of the C4 WRC? The route was very similar to that of the Swedish Rally, which makes me feel totally ready! »
