Sordo wants to get closer to Hirvonen

After the Cyprus and Portugal rallies, what judgment do you have on your performances on gravel at the start of the season?
“I wasn?t completely satisfied after the Rally from Cyprus. The course did not suit me with too many slow parts and very little grip. I wasn?t comfortable. On the other hand, in Portugal, I had very good sensations with a Citroën C4 WRC very easy to fly. I preferred the configuration of the special stages with faster sections. The new approval has also allowed us to progress. We feel an improvement in the rear suspension and engine. »

The next step takes you to Argentina where you have many supporters. What will your goal be?
“The Rally Argentina is a magnificent event. The course is really interesting, both for the crews and the spectators with beautiful roads and landscapes. The special stages are very varied with fast and wide portions and other narrower ones. I sincerely think that this rally is one of the most beautiful of the year with an incomparable atmosphere and fervor. I would still like to get on the podium and try to fight with Mikko Hirvonen. »

With 23 points scored in four events, you have demonstrated great consistency. What is your goal in the championship?
“My job is to score points for the team. Citroën is 24 points ahead in the manufacturers' standings. It's good but the season is still long. We must continue to widen the gap. On the Driver side, Sébastien already has a big lead and I am not very far from Mikko Hirvonen. He is very regular but I will try to get closer to him. »
