Stéphane Lefebvre: The Jännerrallye was essential

Despite abandoning due to a mechanical problem, the Frenchman Stéphane Lefebvre was able to accumulate precious kilometers behind the wheel of the Citroën DS3 R5 at the Jännerrallye in Austria, first round of theERC, a car that he will drive again next Thursday, for the opening of the WRC 2015 on the roads of Monte Carlo.

“I learned a lot from this experience on the snow with the DS3 R5, it was very enriching
, declares the 22-year-old pilot. Opening the road in these difficult conditions is good training for the Monte-Carlo. I don't have much experience with a four-wheel drive and even less on snow, so the Jännerrallye was essential for us. It was important to cover as many kilometers as possible with the car for the future. Obviously, this helped me prepare for Monte-Carlo. We learned to drive with very little grip and in the different conditions we are likely to encounter there. Furthermore, throughout the rally, we have refined the settings, and now we are able to start in the best conditions. »

Lefebvre will compete in all six WRC-2 events in 2015, and will take part in at least two rallies in a DS3 WRC.
