The Drivers' and Manufacturers' titles will be decided at the end of this final event of the 2018 season. Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) possède 3 points d’avance sur Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Ott Tänak (Toyota) garde un infime espoir avec 23 unités de retard. Chez les Constructeurs, Toyota a la main avec 12 unités d’avance sur Hyundai et 25 sur M-Sport.

Thierry Neuville is the last winner of the event. The Belgian succeeded Andreas Mikkelsen. But it is Sébastien Ogier who is the most successful with 3 victories won between 2013 and 2015 when he drove the Volkswagen Polo R.

The first stage will begin at 22:03 p.m. with the 8,77km Orara East. It will include 3 special stages covered twice and two passages through a super special stage. The Australian Rally is one of the busiest with 24 stages to complete.
