Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) est bien placé pour décrocher une quatrième victoire dans cette épreuve, ce qui serait son second succès de la saison après le Monte-Carlo, puisqu’il dispose d’une bonne avance sur ses adversaires directs Kris Meeke (Citroën) et Dani Sordo (Hyundai). En revanche, la lutte pour la deuxième place est des plus incertaines puisque le Nord-Irlandais possède moins de 11 secondes d’avance sur l’Espagnol.

Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) fell back to fifth place following its puncture. The former leader of the event will have difficulty improving his position, Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) having a good lead.

The crews still in the race will have three SS to decide between themselves, i.e. 46,46km timed. The Power Stage will be contested in Las Minas, 11,07km long. The start of the third stage should take place at 15:18 p.m. Paris time.
