Relive the final stage of the Ypres Rally in live text

Le Rally of Ypres 2022 is gaining in intensity. Heading into the final stage, two drivers can regularly claim victory: Ott Tänak (Hyundai) and Elfyn Evans (Toyota). Les deux hommes sont séparés par seulement 8’’2 en tête de l’épreuve.

Behind, there is almost a massacre. The third, Esapekka Lappi (Toyota), is rejected by more than a minute! French Adrien fourmaux (M-Sport Ford) essaiera de terminer le Rallye d’Ypres dans le top 5, ce qui constituerait son meilleur résultat de l’année.

In WRC2, Stéphane Lefebvre took a more comfortable gap on Saturday afternoon ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen. The Citroën driver scored 3 scratches on the 4 stages of the second loop. Yohan Rossel is still 3rd but one minute behind his compatriot.

For the last day of the event, the drivers will embark on a route completely different from that proposed last year, which headed towards the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, since the final will still take place in the Flandrian region. Only three special stages are on the program, those of Watou and Kemmelburg, before a second pass on the last city, which will serve as the Wolf Power Stage.
