The images might mislead you, but no, we are not in Finland in the middle of summer. It is in a green landscape that the competitors of the World Rally Championship (WRC) arrive in Sweden for the second event of the 2020 season.

Indeed, the abnormally spring weather conditions led to the disappearance of snow and ice on a large part of the route. The championship leader, Thierry Neuville (Hyundai), and his rivals plunge into the unknown at 8:42 a.m. this Friday morning. The drivers had never had to deal with studded tires on such terrain.
One of the outsiders to watch will be debutant Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota). The Finn was the fastest in the shakedown on Thursday, and could well follow in the footsteps of his father Harri, winner in Sweden in 2001 with an official Peugeot 206.
