Tänak and Toyota on parade after Ogier’s troubles

Toyota is well on his way to a hat-trick Rally from Germany. WhileOtt Tänak (Toyota) now has a good lead following the puncture of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) in the first passage of Panzerplatte, Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) suffered the same fate in the second. The Frenchman fell to 8th place almost half a minute behind his teammate Esapekka Lappi.

Kris Meeke and Jari-Matti Latvala thus complete the provisional podium by no longer being directly worried. The Northern Irishman has almost ten seconds ahead of the Finn.

The Yaris WRC are followed at a good distance by the Hyundais. Dani Sordo leads the troop, preceding Thierry Neuville who took over from Andreas Mikkelsen. Behind the C3 WRCs of Lappi and Ogier, Gus Greensmith (M-Sport) and Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota) complete the Top 10 in the ranking.

Jan Kopecky (Skoda) retains the lead in WRC 2 Pro despite a puncture in the last SS. Éric Camilli (Ford) came back 34 seconds behind the Czech despite an accident with a deer on the last course of the stage. Fabian Kreim (Skoda) remains in the lead of WRC 2.

The final stage of the Rally Germany will be made up of 2 special stages covered twice. The day should start at 8:08 a.m. with the 28,03km from Garfschaft. The event can be followed live with our live text.
