Strongest Tänak in Sardinia

The Estonian took the scratch on all three courses, including the two stages of Monti di Ala and Monte Lerno which are the longest stages of the event.

Ott Tänak regained his ten seconds delay at the head of the race to reach mid-stage service with more than 6 seconds ahead of the Spaniard.

Kalle Rovanperä (Skoda) is still leading the WRC 2 Pro by occupying 9th place with around ten seconds ahead of Pierre-Louis Loubet (Skoda), the leader of WRC 2 who is ahead of the Toyota of Juho Hänninen.

Restarted in Rally 2, Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) tried to replicate Hyundai's strategy in Portugal by starting behind so as not to sweep for its championship rivals. The Frenchman, however, broke his right rear suspension and finished the stage at reduced speed.

The second run of the second stage will begin at 16:08 p.m. The Sardinia Rally remains to be followed with our live text.
