For the first real rally on asphalt in 2021 in Croatia (April 22-25), Hyundai Motorsport will trust Craig Breen to support the two incumbents who are Ott Tänak et Thierry Neuville.
4th on Arctic Rally Finland, Breen will compete on terrain usually reserved for Dani Sordo. The Irishman's last outing on asphalt in the World Cup dates back to the Rally of Spain in 2018 (then contested on a mixed course) with the Citroën C3 WRC.
Breen was, however, able to compete in a round in Belgium in 2019 on the Aarova Rally Oudenaarde at the wheel of the Hyundai and will try to regain his confidence after his crash at Rally Il Ciocco in Italy around ten days ago with the i20 R5 .
