Ott Tänak is the first leader of Rally Finland after taking the scratch in the opening super special in Harju.

Tänak first leader at Rally Finland

Ott Tänak (Ford) achieved the scratch in the opening super special of the Rally of Finland offering 2,31km timed in Harju. The Estonian achieved a time of 1'44''1 where he is ahead Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) of one second. Sébastien Ogier (Ford) completes the provisional podium at 1”5 ahead by a tenth Craig Breen (Citroen).

Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) completes the top five by being the first driver more than two seconds behind the leader. Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) follows in 6th place ahead of Juho Hänninen (Toyota). Kris Meeke (Citroën) is 8th, three seconds behind. Elfyn Evans (Ford) and Dani Sordo (Hyundai) complete the top ten ahead of Mads Ostberg (Ford) and the Finns Teemu Suninen (Ford) and Esapekka Lappi (Toyota).

Éric Camilli is for the moment the fastest of the R5s with his Ford Fiesta credited with a time of 1'50''6 while occupying 14th place, but it is Pierre-Louis Loubet (Ford) who is at the head of the WRC 2 with 6 tenths ahead of Quentin Gilbert (Skoda).

The start of the first stage of the Rally Finland will begin this Friday July 28 at 6:12 a.m. French time.
